This reminded me that under Sadaam homosexuality was not illegal until he did it to appease religious fanatics. This was done to garner support against the
USA.

Yeah, gay soldiers were among those who helped save their asses. We should have let Saddam have them & then the Kuwaiti clerics would have been tortured
& executed.
