PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Supreme Court has ordered that Democrat Al Franken be certified as the winner of the state's long-running Senate race. The high court rejected a legal challenge from Republican Norm Coleman, whose options for regaining the Senate seat are dwindling. Justices said Franken is entitled to the election certificate he needs to assume office. With Franken and the usual backing of two independents, Democrats will have a big enough majority to overcome Republican filibuster. Coleman hasn't ruled out seeking federal court intervention.

Half those Dems are self-serving lifers who cannot be relied upon in the pinch, as far as I am concerned. If they screw up health-care (and there is a good chance they will), then they will deliver a major setback to the Obama administration. I've always said that Reid and Pelosi could be Obama's biggest obstacles as the months go by because, let's face it: they're in it for themselves and they're not nearly as smart as he is.

There's some very peculiar stuff on this board. Back to the topic: The Court upheld Franken's 300 vote win out of 2.9 million ballots cast. I assume people will move on.
