I think I just spotted Bambi bubble up over on Atkol. The user name has been suspiciously quiet for 3 years until July 5th. By the way, that version there used to claim to have been an ex-escort in NYC that scored Johns in the Port Authority bus terminal after being in the military. Shades of Panama, I'm quite sure.

just as putin is probably watching piglips' political career implode from his house, jamgil.

the russians have also evidently agreed to allowing the US to transport supplies for the military's afghan offensive across their land, which in the short-term might be the more meaningful development from the summit.

I am old enough to remember when the USSR was a big bad boogie man in the world.

Maybe this is why they dont want to ever give up their huge nuclear stockpile.

I think Obama should expect long held lingering resentment to the fact that we are now the sole super power. There's a lot of anger still in Russia (much of it directed at Gorbachev) over losing their status as one of the two super powers when the U.S.S.R. fell apart.

The media keeps stating that Obama shouldn't expected Russians to be as star-struck as the West Europeans.

Does anyone agree? The few Russians I have met are pretty cool. The only thing "stereotypically" Russian about the ones I know is that they are very direct and seemed kind of short tempted.
